Great project and really neat that it is still in the family and kept over the years. Our old rubber tire wagon was left out to rot, really a shame. I was the little kid who picked the down row run over by the wagon and would throw the ears of corn in the wagon which was pulled by a small mule named Lucy. Good times, great that you still have that one.

That was the first job I had out of highschool was driving a mule drawn carriage for a quail plantation . The left mule was around 1000lbs and the right mule was about 1500lbs. needless to say the carriage always wanted to steer to the right lol . We never had one guest bring a parkers though I was always hoping someone would show up with one . Out of a whole season only 2 guest brought sxs .

I may have to break down and get a mule. Right now I am just hoping to get a good supply of quail

Never been in a situation where I had the opportunity to ride a mule cart closest I ever came was riding in the gallery of a Field Trial on a Tennessee Walking Horse .
