Below is the old for sale thread with a copy of the letter which requests special hole size I assume to accept the aftermarket ejector system that was used on the original barrel set.

Brian, this is in the CH 20 thread.
Mark, I have a DHE 12 ga. with no dolls head, from Dubuque, Iowa.

I doubt Parker Bros. would have been moved, or even motivated to change, by any "pushback". King and Hayes likely believed they had designed the best possible ejector system for the Parker Gun and those requiring no rib extension or doll's head were likely so few as to be insignificant.

I'm certain this is a flawed observation, but the Parker SBT has an ejector and no dolls heard extension.

John,
I was just logging on to post about this as it hit me about a half hour ago.
Yes, the Parker Single Barrel trap is a perfect example of the factory solution to an ejector gun without an rib extension to use as a guide and stop.
And on those they did use a lug screw for the stop and a pin for the guide.

I have a DH from Dubuque also with no dolls head. PM me I or call me . I would like to talk about these two.

Dean Romig 04-21-2019 06:49 AM

I would like to learn what you two learn about those Dubuque guns please.
