We've discussed the rubber butt in the past. In the linked thread below from 2009 Richard Skeuse posted that a rubber butt was never factory installed, but rather added aftermarket. Subsequently, I believe it has been stated that the rubber butt on the Repro boxes was actually meant to be a hard rubber butt plate -- but that was never implemented. In addition, in a Parker Reproductions Newsletter, a factory installed leather covered recoil pad was considered for the Sporting Clays Classic model and also to be made available aftermarket for Repro owners and their guns previously purchased with skeleton butts. But, those too; were never implemented.

Does anyone know how many sets were actually made in each gauge? Here's what I've seen so far by highest serial number: 12 gauge, 12-30. 20 gauge, 20-62. 28 gauge, 28-37.

Supposedly, there were 100 to be produced in each gauge, but how many were actually built and sold is likely only known by a very few.

EDIT: Doing a little more snooping around, a letter from Jim Rikhoff of The NSFL confirms that there were indeed 100 20ga. NSFL guns produced and sold and that 100 would also be produced in 12 and 28ga. of this special edition . Barrel length is a factor....28" brings more $ than 26" Also wood that is above the norm is a plus as well as two triggers. Pad is a deal breaker for me, -500 is spot on. Buying it for a working gun in the field or traps, it could be a good deal price wise and make for a great gun to use. SXS Ohio

The pad really hurts the value. In average condition with the pad, the gun should sell for $2700 to a max $3000. I saw a similar 12 gauge at a show recently that sold for $2300, but it had been shortened to 131/2"LOP. The pad will automatically lower the value by at least $500.
