In regards to the stock finish, I believe it is original, but it may have been rubbed down to take the gloss out of it. My opinion.

I think you are probably right. The photo of the SSBP shows a lot of shine on the stock.

Photos are great when you can’t get hands on. I spent a half hour with it and am Certain that’s the original finish, but agree, it’s been softened a bit.

Because Lou runs the store end, Tony is in the factory 99% of the time, and they have a bank of kids with laptops writing the descriptions. Am I sure? Uh, yeah.

It’s only 15 miles, why wouldn’t I?

It’s a nice gun because of the DT, and the case colors are easier on the eyes than a stain faux finish, but I’m pretty sure it’s a consignment and that’s a lot of $ for what it is, once in hand.

Parker Reproductions, when purchased new, were available with different finishes. One of these finishes was available as a custom applied oil finish. The 1st pic below is a portion of Stuart Williams' interview with Jack Skeuse taken from the All Albumns section on this site. (see lower left hand column for this specific discussion. Sorry, I do not have a pic of a Repro with this finish applied coming directly from the custom shop).

The 2nd pic is a factory finish on a NIB SCC with an infrequently encountered satin finish.

The 3rd pic is a factory finish with the more commonly encountered high-gloss finish found on most Parker Reproductions.
