I have both, my 1 frames are two Trojans and a skeet gun. I may not have a good feeling of the liveliness of a good one frame, but my zero frame GH is just lovely in my hands.

Mills..The GH looks better in your photos than it did on GB. I'm an "O" frame 16 fan. I have 6..VH..GH..Hammer..26"..28"..Straight grip and pistol. I'm probably stocked up now !..Just bought a PH 20..but I don't think I'll get carried away on PH grades...

I had a 1-frame 16 gauge Trojan with 26” barrels that now belongs to my brother-in-law that is every bit as light and well balanced as any of my 0-frame 16’s and I have a bunch of them - some not as light as I would hope for in a 0-frame.

Mills what do the 16 ga guns weigh how much difference is there between the 1 frame and the 0 frame, Nice guns. Gary

Mills Morrison 02-16-2019 11:12 AM

I need to weigh them

There is a cult following or so it seem for 0 frame 16's. I have both in hammer guns and hammer less and the weight varies by gun, some 0 frames are lighter than the 1 frame some aren't.

I just like 16's regardless of the frame size:)

The 0 frame is more svelte than the 1 frame. I need to get a scale for my guns and weigh them. The 0 frame 16 seemed a tad heavy while quail hunting, but it still did well

The new 28 gauge handles like a dream

I'd be curious as to the actual differences in size between the two frames. I don't know how much the frame size matters to the actual overall weight of the gun as there are to many other variables.

What new 28????. They are a dream aren't they. Configuration and barrel length???

You should try one while hunting all day in the grouse tangles... even my 00-frame VHE 28 seems a bit cumbersome, but it’s better than any of my 16’s.

If I were looking for a fast handling 16 for upland birds I'd pay more attention to overall gun weight than frame size.
