We had the Friday failure morning. I took the Purdey light game gun, Eric had a round action Boss and Mike had a CE Fox. All 12's using RST 2 inch shells with 3/4 oz loads. We hunted an area called Sasquatch because it's so thick and difficult. Nobody hunts it because it's a pain in the ass...but us. You don't chase singles because you can't tell where they flew! There were plenty of birds and the dogs did their part but the three of us couldn't hit the ground if we tried:shock: Our take for the am was 10 and the dog got one of those:eek:
We went back to small bores for the afternoon and redeemed ourselves with 23. The CHE 20 was wonderful:) |
That does look like big fun and great hunting.

Morrison Pines is the best place I have quail hunted, hands down.

That CHE damascus gun sure does match another 20 damascus gun that I know about!
 |
Lets see some pics of that one. Is it Quail worthy?? Damascus 20's or any Damascus gun is special. They are some of my favorites. I toyed with the idea of selling a GHE 20 but luckily came to my senses:rotf:

Rich once again you are holding court with a bevy of great guns. I'll take the CHE but won't give back the 257 Roberts Improved!! Picked up a nice restocked DHE 20 ga 28" bbls. I'm selling my Model 42 solid rib 26" mod. And 2bbl set Model 12 16 ga solid rib F/M chokes. Both beautiful wood and uncut. Refurb by Win. Gunsmiths and look like they came from factory. Know and takers? I have pics but don't know how to post so thought I would do write up on them. Your thoughts?
