THANKS TO MY FELLOW NIMRODS!

THANKS TO ALL MY FELLOW NIMRODS! That's exactly what I kind of expected. And couldn't agree more. I never plan to sell it anyway!
Although, "HE" was an Engineer, and valued many things that were beautiful, such as 'coin collecting', old 'copper-wood-prints', and fabulous homes- he always saw his "GUNS" as "TOOLS"! I, on the other hand, use my tools......but, being an ARTIST all my life - which includes: caring-about-and- getting PAID - to care about- WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE! I always wanted things that were on the "FANCY"-side. So, I thought about "enhancing"it.
Other than that, I truly believe the second SHOT is for the second bird!
It's more important to me that the gun "FITS", the mechanism is superb, and the "PATTERN" is uniform at 20 yards!
By the way, I used to shoot SKEET VOCIFEROUSLY, and have had many 100/SRT rounds! My COACH was the great "RED HILL", 4 TIMES WORLD CHAMP, from the 70's! He was very big on "FIT & SIGHT & PATTERN", and a wonderful
generous man! He taught me how to loose - "Cause nobody's PERFECT"!

Easy guys! I think it was meant as a compliment?

Nimrod,
"according to the Book of Genesis, a great-grandson of Noah and the king of Shinar. He is depicted in the Bible as both a man of power in the earth and a MIGHTY HUNTER."

Dean Romig 10-18-2010 08:18 PM

In my lexicon a "nimrod" has always been an outdoorsman with few equals; a good hunter; a man who knows his equipment.

John Dallas 10-18-2010 08:43 PM

The high school teams of Watersmeet, MI are called the "NIMRODS". Sports Illustrated included them as one of the top 10 sports team names
