"Sputnik"... Now there's a name from our past.
1957 saw the first living creature to orbit the earth in Laika the dog who was on board Sputnik II. Nikita Kruschev was Premiere (dictator) of the then USSR. Harry, I think we're aging ourselves. :bigbye: . |
My custom DeHaan .410 is “lil poison”..the 3 1/2” Browning BPS i have campaigned since college for waterfowl is “”Thumper”, and the Sako Finnbear .300 Winchester that I got graduating high school is “Dr.Death”.,

I forgot to mention that on the rare occasion I shoot clays or birds particularly well I will call the gun "Death Ray." Another throw back to our childhood. Oh, Happy Birthday, Dean!

My 10 ga. 5 frame with 34 inch tubes is called Jerry Lee. I would guess only the older gentleman will know why. Thomas

The El Camino was a plain Jane 1970. Small V8, three on the tree and dog dish hub caps.

With a 10 gauge, 5 Frame with 34" tubes you won't get a "whole lotta shakin' goin' on."

Perfect base model to start with. In '69 I bought a '65 Chevelle 300 with a tiny little six and 3 on the tree for $700. It didn't stay that way very long....:whistle: . |
My first guitar was named Hugo by my then girlfriend (later my wife), the '53 Chevy in had in college was Mortimer Car (Mort for short). Nothing named since then. I have considered naming my SBT Annie (as explained in a DGJ article) but nothing's ever happened officially.

All this naming has gotten me to thinking (were in trouble now:whistle:) of what to call a Heym double rifle in 500 B.P.E. This is a hammer gun with Jones underlever. A very nice rifle and accurate as well esp for a large bore. I'm thinking of Boomer. Any suggestions?
