Pete, people confuse John Dunkle and me quite frequently. Its understandable. But no, there is no relation.

Bruce,

No Problem, The only problem I see is how quickly you will be able to get off that second shot, with your vision all blurred up. One more thing Bruce, No one could possible confuse you with Dunkle, You have a Setter descended from Jim the Wonder Dog:bowdown:, and he has one of them French dogs.

We do have fun, don't we. Maybe that's one of the best parts of the PGCA.....meeting great people, shooting great guns embodying the history of American manufacturing and craftsmanship, going interesting places and learning new things from people that you never would have met before.

Yes we do have fun. You forgot to add that for some people part of the enjoyment includes borrowing great guns :rotf:

Certainly right up there with the finest Parkers I know of is John's great-grandfather's fabulous trap gun  - and that one is not on loan (nor will it ever be) :nono:

He can borrow that little 20ga DHE of mine that he likes so much anytime he wants to, but he has to come west to get it.

Thanks Bruce!!!

For those of you who haven't seen Bruce's little 20 DHE - she's the sweetest little Parker you'll ever see.. Last year, I was knocking down roosters at - what was it Bruce? - about 150 yards? Maybe it was 125 yards?? OK, maybe about 100 yards...?? Maybe (slightly?) less - I dun'no...??

After using that almost every day in the field - I felt obligated to offer Bruce almost 50% of "fair market price", but - like the gentleman he is - he muttered his apology under his breath.. Or rather - I think it was an apology? It started off with "You are one sorry.." Never heard the rest..

Anyway - many thanks Bruce!

:bigbye:

John, Don't you think you should move this thread (Bruce's) to the "Wanted to Buy" section under the subheading "you break it, you bought it"?
