I had wondered about that Dean. I have never seen a set of barrels he did in person to be knowledgable at all, but have seen several sets posted on the forum that Dale did that looked similar.

Bill I'm not a 12ga guy never have been BUT last year I bought a Purdey light game gun. It just spoke to me even though it was a 12. With 27 inch bbls choked .004 & .008 and coming in just a tad over 6lbs it's a joy in the field. I bought a case of the 2 inch paper shells from RST 3/4oz 8's and there magic on grouse, woodcock and quail.

Try em you'll like em.

I have a PH and a GH on #1 Frames. What a delight to carry and shoot. I'm with Rich on the lighter shells in a 7 lbs Parker. They are easy on you and the gun.

I have a bunch of 12 gauge hammerless Parkers on 1 frames. It is a great configuration. You see a lot of them in the early hammerless range, at least I do
