Looks like a grade 2 or 3 Mark, which is it?

Dean,
It letters as a grade 4. Possibly unique engraving? Certainly uncommon. Steve C. has a nice set of pictures of this one in a recent DGJ article on the Columbian exposition. Neat gun. And I shoot it well.:)

I see it now in the checkering layout - I should have noticed that before. Thanks Mark.

I had one but traded the gun. Since I am left handed, it seemed to me that the gun was easier to break open because of the fishtail.

Others have said that Daniel... Or maybe it was you some time ago.

I, too, am southpaw, and spent a fair portion of each summer growing up in Scotland. Not being able to drive, I attributed the amount of hitch hiking I did the main reason my left thumb isn't as long as my right. I find the fishtail TL on my hammer guns distinctly easier to open, as compared to my straight lever guns. My thumb needn't go so far over the top of the receiver.

Will you be wearing your kilt at Hausmann's?

On the British Isles you would naturally have used your left thumb to hitch a ride... Does that explain why it is shorter than the right?..... why is that?

I could, and have the knees for it. I'll have to coordinate with Kevin

Yes, I wore it down.

Because they keep to the left.
