John: Zero acres. But I come from homesteading roots with farming in my blood if not in my daily life. Son-in law is tied to the land. With his brother and father they have 3800 acres of pasture and bush for 1000 head of red angus cattle (moose, deer and elk barely tolerate the intruders) and 4500 acres of crop land. With today's equipment, three guys do all that. The pending storm pics are from last evening/s dog hike. I have run dogs on this farmer's land for the past 20 years. I know enough farmers in pheasant country to ensure the dogs and I can enjoy the season and I and friends can enjoy some fine meals. I share the birds with the land owners as well but not until after they are prepared and frozen. When I'm not working on a Parker, runiing dogs or chasing pheasants; I content myself of late with the restoration of a 1945 Farmall H tractor. Just finished the water pump, which was a bit of a disaster but now is ready to be installed. Only two items left to rebuild - the carb and the governor. Then the stripped down body will be painted and all the components re-assembled. Of course it will never see service again, other than a local parade. http://parkerguns.org/forums/picture...pictureid=7392http://parkerguns.org/forums/picture...pictureid=7391http://parkerguns.org/forums/picture...pictureid=7394

Painful problem with a broken idle jet. Ultimately had to break it off drill out the rest and chase the threads with a 4-40NC tap. All ready now to put on the tractor. Cheers Jack

Made it to the farm. Grandson got a lesson in what can be done with a can of spray paint that is not graffiti. Think he did okay
