The wood to top tang fit looks a little sketchy to me also, like a little aggressive sanding on the refinish, or the headstock is internally in rough shape, as also indicated by the stock head pinning. All that being said, it the gun is mechanically sound, would make a nice graded shooter for someone that doesn't need choke~!
