I had a great time putting a face to many of the folks I have "met" on the forum, Steve

Same here Steve, nice to meet you.

Had a great time as always, as much as I like shooting at Drakes/Southern, if I could only attend 1 event next year it would be Hausmann's. I have pictures of hunting with Ernie in the UP back in the late 1980's. Always great to shoot with Edgar , Allan, Frank and Pete. Got to shoot the main event with Steven Hodges and Bud. Good seeing old friends that I have met thru the PGCA, Rich, Daryl, Mike, Eric, Chuck, Larry, Dean, etc--no slight meant if I left you out. Wished I had taken some pictures--specifically of the old gator pulling Chuck's van and Edgars Excursion. I only took the Gator to give my poor foot a break from plantar fasciitis, but will plan on bringing it next year.
Edgar and Allan's rib fest was a hit and well attended--hey Frank, I ate your ribs on the way home, you left them in my cooler. Congrats to all those shooting in the Fox/Lefever Challenge. Hope to make it to"The Rock" in Sept, heard it is very nice and Mike Koneski a great host |

I can't help it that Smitty and I can shoot both makers guns with such aplomb[/QUOTE] That's probably my problem. I'm shooting my guns with shotgun shells and you're using plums. |
Margaret and I had a great time. Thanks to Harold for him using the Gator to get me out of the mud! Thanks to Edgar and Allan for the after shoot fixings. Great seeing old friends and meeting new ones. See you next year!

As always, it was great seeing our Parker brethren and many thanks to all who threw some lead at our Bo-Whoop event. Not sure you guys were around for this very special "walk-in" but it was certainly a weekend highlight for us fans of Philly's Finest!
As you know, our SBT event is called the William Letterman Classic in honor of William C. Letterman, acclaimed PA trap shooter who endorsed the Fox SBT. In June of 1923, Willy won the PA State Championship shooting a J-grade Fox single. So what comes waltzing in to the shooting stand but none other than the original stock/fore-arm off of Mr. Letterman's J-grade, found several months ago at a PA flea market. We verified via the factory records that indeed the stock was special ordered with bird's eye maple and a cheek piece. Notice too, the date on the grip cap insert of 1923, the same year he was crowned champion. We feel that might have been a little gift from Philly for backing their "late-to-the-party" trap gun. No, the rest of the gun is still AWOL but still a very cool piece of Fox history nevertheless!!:bowdown: Attachment 54910 Attachment 54911 |
A fabulous find... in a flea market no less.
What a shame that it was almost lost to a table lamp re-purposing. . |
I had a wonderful time and never fired a shot!
Found some things I needed including new friends, even got kisses from Betty and Grace special girls those two. Edgar and Alan went above and beyond. |
Today is Grace's third birthday

How soon they grow up:)
