You need much more condition for this price.

Well, this topic got me curious, so I went to the safe, and got out my all original 20 ga. Trojan #228335.
Mine measures as follows;
LOP to frt trigger - 14 1/8" DOC - 1 3/4" DOH - 2 3/4" (Same as the 16 in the ad)
I write this with the caveat that I am not an expert, but if I were in the market for a 16 ga. Trojan for the field, and the money wasn't a problem, I would buy this one. Wouldn't be the biggest mistake I ever made, and if it put a smile on my German shorthair pointers, it was well worth paying $200.00 too much.

Brian is correct; the comb has definitely been lowered and I think the receiver has been sanded a bit. You can see the marks on the one picture of the bottom. Pretty nice gun but definitely not all original and is definitely over priced(what a shock, eh?).

I put Briley choke tubes in a 1900 model year H&H Royal Sidelock Ejector, and then proceeded to hunt North America with it for 20 years, so I have zero credibility when it comes to shotgun values. But my dogs think I'm a god.

Any other places to find a nice 16 gauge Parker besides gunbroker or guns international around $2k

I don't think the 16 in question was that far off the mark. That's just my opinion, and I could be wrong.
I certainly wouldn't take a dime less than that for my 20.
Maybe you could make him an offer, I dunno. Unless your buying it to flip for a profit, just to shoot, chase quail, etc, I don't have a problem with the gun you posted.

Yes, this website is the place to buy a Parker at a fair price unless you want to go to auctions. I have bought some wonderful lower grade Parkers on this site.

I paid less than half that for my 16ga Trojan; way high IMHO.

todd allen 03-12-2017 08:42 PM

I had no idea that you could get a nice 16 ga. Trojan for less than $1,000.00.
I stand corrected.
