Isn't a double crest very unusual?

I initially thought so but in doing some quick research I learned that the topknot is made up of six individual feathers on every bird. I believe the feathers are usually all together appearing as one so when two or more are visible its like a bad hair day for them.

Here is a picture of one with the feathers separated.
