I actually had a tragedy a couple seasons back. I had a Model 11 with a home made magazine tube that ran clear to the end of the barrel. I'd actually put a plug in it so I could hunt with it a few times. Was shooting down in Mississippi and the weld holding the tube onto the bored out magazine cap gave way, shooting the magazine about 20 yards out into a deep water cypress brake never to be found again.

My Parsons magazine holds eight with one more in the chamber. Once, a member on one of the shotgun sites volunteered that he had a Parsons that he would sell, but we never got together. The Parsons is briefly mentioned in Shirley and Vanderlinden's excellent book on the Browning A-5.

There are two lengths of Parsons.
I've got two of the long ones, one just the tube and one complete with spring and retaining cap. |
There's a Parsons magazine extension up for bids on ebay,go's off on Sunday 11:10 call letters bthebler. J.J.
