Usually pitted bores are not as bad as they appear, do not present a significant danger and are inconsequential to patterning. They can often be honed if an owner is bothered by the appearance and with the understanding that Parker barrels can usually be honed and reduced in wall thickness by up to .010 before unease sets in. Knowing wall thickness is critical.
By the way, the frame number designations are not inch measurements. For example, a 1/2 frame 12 gauge is not 1/2" across and a Number 2 frame is not 2 " across the bolsters. |
That is why i made the comment about frame sizes not being interchangeable, because i knew where this was leading.

Oh I thought it was an honest question. It wasn't ? Am I missing something?

I would be looking for a set of barrels of the frame size of my gun rather than trying to fit a different size of barrels.

No, i just figured the OP was looking to fit barrels from one frame size to another. |

I am participating in this site to learn about a fine shotgun. My particular shotgun is not fine; it was wreck when I got it, and it may remain a wreck. I am simply striving to make what I can afford usable again. |
