Living in Port Angeles, Washington has a lot to do with the swelling of the paper case Federals. I don't remember what the average rainfall is there but, it's way high. Here in Central Oregon we get maybe 12" of moisture a year so paper cases have been a favorite of mine for many years. If your ever down this way I'll give you some dry ones to try. |
Thanks, Elk Hunter. I tried them back when I lived in the Detroit area. Here where I live, we only get 16.5" of rain per year, I'm closer to Sequim and in the Olympic rainshadow. Heck, my grass turns brown from May-Sept!

Fellow gave me 50 pounds of paper Federal Hulls. Percentage are swollen and all need a OS wad before crimping.
Pick good ones load with black powder and toss is my routine . William |
