Brian: Very nice gun and I am glad you own it. I had a Canadian owner contact me through the LC Smith Collectors Forum about 5 years ago regarding a family No.2 10ga Elsie in about the same condition. I believe they were from Ontario, St. Lawrence River area, I wonder if it's the same gun. Anyhow since others are posting pictures of their Elsie chain barrels here is a picture of my 10ga No. 3 straight grip in nice condition. Craig

It's the same gun I bet, it came from the same area sold to a family friend then to me.

Somewhat rare and great gun

Just remember Brian, 10 gauge LC's are rare. They didn't make very many of them. It may be a long long time before you see another one that nice.

Great find!

I covet the 10 gauge Elsie!. I also am a collector of 10 gauge Elsies ......and Parkers.....and...... I like 10 gauge sxs shotguns. I wish that any of my guns looked as good as yours.
Remember that the gun should not be a safe queen-go out and shoot it
