That serial number is about 1927 so is long after WW1 as Researcher said 26" barrels were introducer after WW1.

Remember also , although " The Book " is quite helpful , it is not written in stone !:)

So I picked up this Trojan 12 gauge. Barrels are 26". Serial # 201909 according to the book has 30" barrels. Please look at these pics and let me know what you think. A dime will fit in the right barrel and will not fit in the left.

Dimes are useful if you have nothing else and in a pinch. Dimes are about .705 to .710, so if it goes you can have anything from .024 to .000 with a standard .729 bore. If it does not go with a standard bore you have anywhere from .025 on up choke. But cut from 30" to 26" the choke constriction will not be very long so don't expect it to throw the pattern of an uncut gun with the same constriction and full length chokes.

Those barrels are uncut. Matting terminates. And a dime suggests they have choke.

Is there a "2" on the forend lug? Curious.
