Great wood boat. I love mine. There's no comparison of a wood boat to a Tupperware boat. Sort of like a Stradavaris (sp?) v an electric guitar.

I have a cedar strip solo canoe which I love. Bruce, just looking at the front of yours is it a guide boat style? Beautiful and I love the guard dogs...... Both keeping "watch".

Here's a boat I built about 7-8 years ago. Not a strip boat, but a Stitch and Glue design

Yes, very sleek and pretty... you've shown her here before.

Hmmm. My memory is really quite good. It's just short

Dean Romig 04-17-2016 08:31 AM

It's all good John... I could look at that boat many more times.

It is a 17 ft square stern Rangely Lakes Guide Boat made by Jim Beilke , Jims Boats, of Minnesota. Five different woods, old growth redwood, fir strips, mahogany , ash and maple from his farm. Hand carved oars and leather wrapped. A 10hp really scoots the boat, seldom use over 80 percent throttle.

Great to see you have your boat Bruce. Really nice. See you in Sanford.

Very nice Bruce. You have to love these boats.
