if you want a unique piece of Parker history - that is one

if you are looking for a shooter - personally - i would look for another

If you buy it. please let me know- if not please PM me the seller's contact info- I have a copy of Parker Pages that should go with it, it was with another gun in error at the sale

Right, if you want a shooter this is not the gun for you. This is a gun for the serious collector who wants to fill a certain vacancy in his collection.

Not to shot. Just a neat collector gun. Thought it would be a nice collector gun but knowing anything about Parkers wasn't sure if I should look for something a little better. I don't have a Parker and it was the first one I ever saw or held. Thanks for your help

Which is the oldest 066 or 66 I would personally like to know since I own 026, this has been the topic of much conversation over the years, so far nothing concrete that I know of any body clear this up? gary

Just some food for thought....

Rib legends on very early guns were read from the other side of the barrels, not from the left as we are accustomed to reading them and I wonder if the stampings on early water tables may have been done in the reverse as well.....? if they had been stamped 066 or 66 or 990 or 99, with the underscore, there would be no question at all. I guess if we had guns on either side of those serial numbers to examine we could have something we could refer to. Gary, what is the orientation of the 026 on your water table?

066

For this gun the 066 is not underscored on any part. Knowing nothing about parkers does the "0" stand for the frame or is it strictly part of the serial #.

Thanks.

Rick Losey 03-27-2016 11:25 AM

In this case it is part of the serial number

Later on, when they started marking frame sizes it is alway on the barrel lug
