28 2BBL DT just sold
 

I thought I had it. Forgot about the 15 minute rule. Second place is the first
loser.

About 1995 and 1996

CPI (using '95) & hammer price = about a 39% return if purchased at high closeout of 2795..not too shabby

..oops..should have read 25% :o

..still not too awful

My guess..it's an even better investment today

..of course if it was my gun..honest wear would have to be taken into account :)

I happen to know the gentleman (using that term loosely) that bought the gun. I told him it would sell for $6200 so he was happily surprised at the purchase price. He really doesn't deserve such a nice gun. He shoots Foxes!

25% over 20 years is pretty grim

As a hedge against inflation?

Keep in mind..these were intended as shooters, not collectibles.

Kept in new unfired condition makes it a commodity of sorts
