I noticed on my CHE 20 that I took Quail hunting this past week that there were 5 of these "birds" instead of what I thought should have been 4 for a C grade gun. All my D grades have 3 birds on the floor plate.

That's the puzzlement I've had about the number of birds on the floor plate of Parkers.
Almost inevitably a;
Grade 2 will have 2 birds
Grade 3 will have 4 birds
Grade 4 will have 5 birds (if it has birds at all)
Grade 5 will rarely have birds at all
There is apparently no correlation between the grade number and the number of birds on the floor plate.
