How about 2,000 yards?? :rotf:

A .50 cal BMG cartridge pressure is about 55,000 PSI.

The stock obviously didn't survive the recoil of 12,000+ ft lbs of muzzle energy but the barrels did!

OMG I hope nobody really thinks I shot a 50 cal BMG round through a Parker!

The recoil of the twin 50's I flew with made the aircraft move in flight. I've shot a HUMVEE mounted 50 and it was a blast , however I would hate putting one to my shoulder. I can't imagine shooting a shoulder mounted 50 that did not have a recoil reducing piston stock.

I figured I would give you fellows back east something to think about other than snow.

Off toward the southwest to hunt quail in a couple days. Supposed to warm into the 60's. Tee shirts and following Bert.

I bet Mr. Chapo would be kind enough to have his colleagues sell you any spare .50's he has in stock. I hear tell he has a guaranteed paperwork-free source. I will also offer to test said .50cal Parker on the xxxxcicle this winter if you want to send it this way - I have some ammo in stock.
