It was a good year, gun wise. It was a bit slower than years past, but quality made up for quantity. I acquired a Super Fox, Model 21 and an LC Smith 20 gauge. No new Parkers and actually sold one, but I had two reconditioned and they feel like new.

We enjoyed Rich, Eric, Mike Smith and Greg Phillips coming to South Georgia to hunt at our favorite place. Hope some more of you guys (and gals) can make it this coming year too.

I had several duck hunts with my oldest son, Mills, early in 2015. I have been several times by myself, basically, this current season. One hunt on the Santee Delta was particularly memorable.

I want a new dog, a bird dog, but that idea is taking longer to get by the boss than all the new guns combined.

Bill Mullins called to offer me the position of Captain of Team Parker and that has been a great honor and challenge.

The kids are growing up too fast, but still cannot handle a gun to shoot. Maybe 2016.

It was a good year all around for myself and my better half. Purchased my first Parker last January, a restored Trojan, which was only in my possession for a short time then traded for a all original VH 12GA/ 30". I was invited to attend the gathering at Drakes last April and had the opportunity to meet and shoot with a fine group, and I mean this seriously, of gentlemen. I enjoyed Drakes immensely. Then over to the Southern and missed qualifying for the Parker/Smith Challenge by four targets, maybe next year. Three months ago a very good friend and Parker mentor sent an exquisite Grade#1 Hammer 12GA/32" my way and I couldn't be more grateful. I am enjoying both my Parkers and hoping to add to the collection in the future.
To all that I shot with at Drakes and all the members I met at the Southern, Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year.

Conway is just down the street from Backwoods. Do you shoot there? The Lovely Linda's nephew is an Assistant Chief in the fire service in Horry county and lives in Conway.

Bill, Yes I do. I also work all the events at Backwoods. I usually shoot every Friday and at least one other day of the week. I also am the Range Safety officer at the rifle range on Saturdays at backwoods.
