Small world. I have a friend named Glen who has a cabin on a small lake near Lewiston (Lovells actually). Crazy grouse hunter. Probably hunts 50 days a year. Has a great, hard-running setter named Lucy.

That's funny, Glen has a small hard running setter named Bess. When I say hard running I mean I think she gets going fast enough to levitate. I have knick named her "Krazy Bunny" she is still young and learning , but I think she's going to be a good one.

As far as the birds go, we found them in the usual spots. I don't know if it was because they hadn't been pressured for 3 weeks or because all the foliage was down, or ???,but I just seemed to get better opportunities. Or maybe the grouse gods took a look at this years ledger and said " wow, we probably owe him a couple"

Is that lake any chance KP Lake just south of Lovells? We had a cabin on that lake that my Grandfather built just after WWII. A tragic accident resulted in my parents selling it but I still do some Grouse hunting around there.

Nope. Shupac Lake. It's a beautiful little gem. Well stocked with all sorts of fish, loons, and a DNR Campground

I know that lake well. Very good fishing.
