[QUOTE=Mike.Smith;177625] . Daryl, at least they don't have you missing on camera like me!

No they don't, but it cost me $20 for him to edit the video.

Doctor Mike K had the same presentation (on that station in the video) on Sunday for his Club championship shoot, and Allen who's one of my buds and an excellent shooter, missed 3 of the 6 as both targets were dropping off on the later part of the flight paths. On the other hand, Freddy who's usually a little lesser shooter cleaned the station by shooting quickly and all birds were smoked before they crossed in front of the platform. A simple looking but tricky presentation done by the evil master target setter. :banghead:

And the winner is?

Frank Srebro 09-22-2015 08:36 AM

Daryl, I presume you mean the winner of the Rock Mtn Club championship? Mike and Susan had a setup whereby the top 5 shooters on the course, would do a shootout on the 5 stand for the annual Club Championship. I wasn't there for the shootoff due to a family commitment but I heard that David DeFernelmont took the stone trophy this year. David is a member of the LCS and Fox Collectors Associations but I don't know about Parker. I don't know what gun he was shooting on Sunday, whether an o/u, SxS or gas gun? David is the first gent on the WNEP video who was interviewed shooting the 10-gauge at the cliff station. Also of interest, he took the A H Fox Collectors Small Bore trophy at the Northern two weeks ago. David is a friend and an excellent shooter.

Thanks Frank. Yes I know him and his Dad- two great shooters and nice guys.
In retrospect, on that station in the video, that crosser would'nt have been so difficult if it was taken in front of the stand as your friend did. I'd love to shoot it again, but your know what they say about hindsight.:)

BTW, great shooting with you.

I just got a chance to watch the video.
What a great piece of promotion for Mike and the Rock.
And Mikey, Daryl, me and Frank are sure we didn't sign any releases.

Ah, Grasshopper, Fred has just showed you gents that sometimes faster on the target does work best. :) Shooting those birds late put them into transition yet made you feel you could break them as they were sooooooo slooooow and about 20-25 yards out front. Thanks for playing gents. :rotf:
