Aproximate value of a Parker VHE skeet gun 28 inch barrels, BTFE, Round knob prince-of-wales pistol grip, 14.25 LOP, 20 gauge 95% CCH and 95% barrel blueing around 1926 sn 236306. Please help.

Gorge that is one sweet looking Parker. I can't help you with the value but I'm positive others will. Really nice find.

The serial number chronology says made in 1934, as I recall the year the Parker Skeet Gun was introduced. However, the barrel flats don't state Skeet-Out, Skeet-In, and it has a butt plate instead of the checkered wood butt of a righteous VHE-Grade Skeet Gun. Then there is the checkering on the stock cheeks covering some sort of repair to the head of the stock. I believe I can see two small nails or pins in the wood back of the sear pin in the first picture.

I believe it is a 20-gauge VHE-Grade with the options of a single trigger and a beavertail forearm, not a "Skeet Gun" and with the stock issues, I'd think $4500 would be plenty for getting into this project. JMO

Asa Kelley sold one that ended up in California that was a true 20 ga VHE
Skeet gun and did not look like that, it was described with sheet in, Skeet out
chokes, checkered butt and the Beavertail forend had a lot better look than this, it had a smoother rounder look.

I looked at the pictures, started to like the gun, then remembered who has offered it for sale and at what price. What a letdown.

Although a nice gun I would not consider this gun a factory skeet gun.
