I have a few bottles of Pappy Van Winkle and drink a few glasses every Father's Day. I have an unopened bottle of 12 year old and it might be for sale if it would get some of the crazy prices out there.

I don't have anything "unopened"....
|
I have two Col. Taylor Single Barrel's and an Elmer T. Lee in reserve that have not been opened. Please note that i have the same in an opened status.
|
I have a 20 year and 15 year opened.
Elmer T. Lee is good. Have not tried Col. Taylor's. Often there is huge difference between the basic kind and the aged, expensive kind. |
Your turkey looks just as good on the plate as it did in the truck. Parker looks good to.

There were plenty of leftovers, but they did not make it past Saturday. Julia said next turkey, we are doing the same thing

I've still got the better part of a case of Elmer T. Lee that I rescued recently from an unsuspecting liquor shop in Michigan. As a proud Kentucky resident, that particular product is one of the best daily drinkers. IMO, of course. Good bourbon lies in the eyes of the beholder. There are many good ones out there, and some of the ones pointed out here are very, very good and still available. Hard to beat a Pappy's after a good day of bird hunting, though...

Quintuple thumbs up.....i have a coveted bottle of Pappy Van Winkle for quiet personal celebrations. Most evenings I'm a heathen, and quaff Turkey 101. Antique Weller is a favorite too, along with Bulliet.
I think I am finding some kindred spirits here in Parker Land!,,, thanks to all!,, |
I also enjoy Bulliet and Turkey 101, but there are sooo many to choose from I like to try something different each time I visit the store. One I recently found was called Parker Hayes. I bought it for the obvious connection to the two names and it is a good daily drinker and quite inexpensive as Bourbons go. Kept in the freezer, with a little splash of branch water, it satiates my need for a cocktail after a long day in the trenches.
