Wow- That would be amazing. I would also use the word misrepresentation but I must be missing something.
What is the purpose of calling it a 0000?

Dean Romig 06-17-2015 03:36 PM

Create scarcity?

Dean Romig 06-17-2015 03:37 PM

So far, just rumor as far as I know.

Maybe Richard Skeuese will come on and shed some light...

really nice little gun...

Sorry, guys, there is no 000 frame Repro. There are 00 frames and there are 0000 frames. This looks like a 0000 frame. Most 00 frame .410 barrels are stamped 0000, causing confusion. You must measure the pin separation to determine which one you are looking at.

Dean Romig 06-17-2015 09:46 PM

Bill, what is the pin separation of a 0000-frame Repro in 16ths of an inch?

Gerry Addison 06-18-2015 06:55 AM

What do you think this one is worth, or should I say, what will it sell for?

Kenny Graft 06-18-2015 08:12 AM

Not knowing the reserve and how bad a bidder might want it, the possible hammer price is unknown? If it was started at 10K with no reserve I would guess 17 to 20K and maybe even 25K if two bidders get going on it. If I really wanted it I may have bid 17500.00 I would say 20K as it solid value in todays market. Maybe his is conservative but that's my thoughts. The gun should have different engraving than standard D style...this is a negative for me. Anyway if the gun had double triggers and correct B engraving or something special I would be more interested in it for my DT repro collection....Maybe we will see a winner and final sale price? Richard Skeuse is a great guy, always been helpful when asked. I would like to see him get the gun back in the family! thanks all SXS ohio

I have done a bit of research on pin separation of these small frame Repros:

My discoveries are -

The pin separation of my 00-frame Repros is 15/16"

George Purtill graciously measured the pin separation of the Lt. Gov. Roy Wilcox 000-frame .410 at 13/16"

I contacted the seller of the 0000-frame Repro, subject of this thread, and he told me the pin separation of his gun is also 13/16"... same as an original Parker 000-frame .410.

Here's a pic of the subject of this thread's serial number. It has been reported here on the website, as well has others, stating that there were only 9 .410 BHEs ever built, this gun's serial is B410-0052 . . . how do we explain that?
