Yes as far backs any one has any info on this gun it had gold plated hammer screws, do not know when the latch was done on the forend, maybe made that way who knows? Gary
When I die, I want to come back as this gun.
Gary, I'm trying to figure out that forend latch... originally a keyed latch but replaced by something else... Is it a Deely latch or a tensioned snap-on latch?
Can you elaborate on the serial number stamped on the forend iron? |
Thanks for posting pics of your collection. The guns are amazing. I don't know how you sleep at night surrounded by such an exciting collection. Your member status should be changed from Lifetime Member to Hall of Fame Member

Dean, The number appears to be stamped over the 3 when you look at the gun it appears that a 0 was stamped over the 3, but it is 4723, I do not have a better photo but do have one with this gents name, Gary

Whats that old saying . Something about who has the most toys when they die wins . I would say Mr Carmichael is well on his way to winning
I will do without the toys, just want to be here a little longer, Parkers do make for interesting study! Gary
Gary, Mr. Beecher was a stocker for Parker Bros. at the time.
Was this gun fitted with 10 ga., 32" bbls. at some time? My serialization book says #4723 is a 12 ga. with 30" bbls. if I looked at it right.
