The mud in your pictures support your reference to drought/wet years.

Correct Dean, the night before the opener a front pushed through bringing 2 inches of rain along with 44 degrees! Needless to say the turkeys were a bit slow to move the next morning after dropping from 90 degrees the previous day. Taking a photo in W. Tx with mud in it is rare. The constant howling winds usually will dry out the landscape within a day.

RST 5's are deadly on turkeys coming out of a Parker 10 gauge. That's a beautiful gun. Are those Marion's?
