OK,thanks for all the good advise. I am going to put this project on hold and see if I can find a nice DHE 20 with 30 inch barrels. I have a 1 1/2 frame VHE 12 ga barrel , dented ,that I paid $1,100 if anyone wants it?

Parker Bros. could, and would, make a set of 20-gauge barrels to fit a 2-frame 12-gauge gun. This 1889 vintage gun weighs a bit over nine pounds with the original 12-gauge barrels in place --

and 8 pounds 4.5 ounces with the 32-inch long, 3-inch chambered, 20-gauge Vulcan Steel barrels made some time between 1918 and 1926 in place.

Have not quite given up! Would a repro 20a 1 1/2 frame barrel work and did they make that?

Thank you Mr N.

That is one fine gun and a very tasteful restock. Thank you again.
