I mostly use the take down canvas and leather cases when traveling with more than three or four guns, like when heading up to hidden hollow for the sxs classic. If going to hunt or shoot sporting clay's locally I just put a couple of guns in the full length envelop cases, which by the way, were won at Ernie's as raffle prizes.

I've recently traded 3 of my modern Spanish SxS's to a dealer for (4) Vintage SxS's.

3 - 2-7/8" 10 Bores & 1 - 12 Gauge.

One of the 10's is a Charles Daly (Lindner) Hammer Gun with 32" Laminated Steel Barrels. I've only one case that it will fit in; a cheap fo-leather slip with no padding.

I'd like to buy something else like a Boyt, but I'm thinking a traditional LOM might offer more protection for the Hammers. Does anyone know of vendor for these (Reasonaly priced)?

eBay,

depending on your definition of reasonable - the few newly made ones generally are not inexpensive

Does anyone have experience with this case - Looks more like a scoped Rifle Case.
Does not seem to be very "Rigid".

Check our for sale section. They pop up here quit often.

I use Doskocil or Plano hard plastic cases. They are reasonably priced and offer outstanding protection. I have been appalled at how some folks toss their guns, haphazardly, into pick-up boxes, behind seats, etc., and expect me to do the same. My 'Gun Guard' cases save the day! Besides, I don't 'hunt' until I get to my final destination, and have no need for uninhibited, quick access to my gun.

You cannot go wrong with a fine vintage H.H. Heiser or A.H. Hardy leather case.

Nice collection Patrick

seems I don't have a preferred case, My wife got me one of Jeffs outfitters cases for a hammer gun I found (I like it and will get a couple more) I have a few LOM, which I use for certain guns, some of the Doskocils, an very heavy Americase two gun case I use when traveling distances by car, a leather slips for trips between covers.

the one time I took a gun overseas I borrowed a tuffpak - and if I flew with guns again I would use one
