Do you have any instructions on handmade bismuth? I've seen the metal for sale quite cheap I think.

That jug should be 6.6 pounds which will load 84 1 1/4 ounce shells or 76 1 3/8 ounce shells. The 1 1/4 ounce loads of 1's through a tight choke will drop geese at 35 yards every time you put them in the pattern. Beyond that the 1 3/8 ounce is little better and about all you need for normal ranges.

The up front cost of the loose Bismuth is high. Using average retail component prices the 1 1/4 ounce load is about $2.50 a shot and the 1 3/8 about $2.75 a shot. Contrast that against the $4 per shot for RST 1 1/4 ounce Nice Shot and the savings of reloading adds up real fast.

And here I have a more than a bunch of Eley eight gauge Bismuth shells that have 1 3/4 ounces in each shell. I guess they are worth more broken down than I paid for them. Some day I may get to shoot them at waterfowl, if the Feds choose to change the law on the use of eight gauges.

or - go to the UK - you can shoot your limit there with an 8 ga

but still need non-tox

I was wondering if Indian Reservations might be exempt from the 8 gauge ban.
