Harry,
The wood was from a friend that bought this English walnut blank and another from Pachmyr 30+ years ago. The work was by a friend that wishes to remain anonymous.

I understand, thanks for the reply.

Please give him my compliments. It looks excellent.

My latest acquistion is this original Kimble oil painting, displayed here along with Fred's 16 guage G grade.

Dean Romig 03-22-2010 05:34 PM

John, that is just wonderful! Congratulations on acquiring the painting to go with his Parker. I didn't know he painted too - was he a prolific painter?

Dean Romig 03-22-2010 05:36 PM

Art, your "Good Job" photo looks almost good enough to be a WHF painting.

John Davis 03-22-2010 06:32 PM

Dean, Kimble apparantly did quite a bit of painting. I now have two of his Parker's and three of his oil's.

Dean Romig 03-22-2010 09:39 PM

Now how the heck does one end up with two of Fred Kimbie's Parkers? . . . oh, nevermind

Destry L. Hoffard 03-23-2010 02:23 PM

Davis,

As always, I compare you to the proverbial outhouse rat, congratulations!!!! That's what, three Kimble paintings now?
