Join the PGCA and watch the for sale section as well

I have a very nice late 1-1/2-frame 26" VH12 with a blonde stock and a straight grip that is one of my very best shooters for me. My best duck gun is a 2-frame 30" VH12 also with a SG. I'll take a straight grip every time over a pistol.

The gun was brought to the attention to a group of people who would be the most interested in it. If you don't know much about Parkers you are wise to be cautious but on the other hand, he who hesitates.....There is a tuition cost in learning to collect Parker's, it comes in many forms, anyone who has been at it for awhile has a one that got away story. Bruce gave very sound advice.

There's also "the one you got but wish you hadn't" story.

How true John... how true.

Be quiet about it, there are people who lurk here, the usual numbers are maybe 30 members and 120 non forum member lurkers/lookers, and some of those will buy a gun out from under a person who brings attention to it.

Along those lines, how hard would it be to have the forum visible to only forum associates and PGCA members?

While I understand your reasons for suggesting this, we need to continue to make this website, in it's entirety (except the Members Only section, which is one of the benefits of PGCA Membership), available to everyone on this continent and, in fact, to the world. I believe we are the preeminent shotgun collectors organization and I dare say we have the very best shotgun collectors website, bar none. We need to keep it this way - not barring anyone - and just suffer the small pains that go along with being the "Biggest and the Best".
I believe that if we start barring certain groups of people, or become 'exclusive' it will spell the beginning of our downfall.

One should join the PGCA and use the members only Off Topic forum for a similar inquiry.

Yes, we need to be able to maintain "perks" to paid membership.
And we need to keep this board exactly what it is... A Great one. And not allow it to take any steps towards becoming what others have.

You can smell the alcohol over the waves from those other sites, particularly in the evenings. That's why the texting under the influence (TUI ) detection program that john Dunkle developed is so important.
