8 ga 9lbs 14 oz. 7 frame

The 10 Ga. I have is stamped 9.7 and total weight is 13.90

All I have is an old baby-weighing scale so I am not sure how accurate it is but it shows 13 3/4 lbs.

Egads those are some heavy guns!

What about the lightest as mentioned by Charlie? His 2# 8oz 20-gauge barrels have me beat. My lightest are on a 5#9oz 16-gauge GH 26" damascus (matches PGCA letter to a "T") that are marked 2#12oz.

What are the lightest barrels that our collectors have?

The 8ga Howard mentioned above is a beautiful beast. The gun is a 7 frame with 36" barrels and retains most of its original finish. Parker did make a few 40" 8ga guns and I would be curious about their weights to possibly add them to a Parker's Found.

There was a 40" bbl Parker 8 at the Spring Southern last year. It was quite a nice gun.

Now, Mills, what did you find wanting on that gun? Josh, is your extra heavy gun a 40" gun?

It didn't have a price tag on it and there wasn't enough money in my wallet at that time anyway

got to be some more light weight and heavy weight barrels out there..looks like 2.8 and 9.14 is the weight to beat...charlie

I cant compete with any of these weights with a parker. I would have to drag out (dare I say it) my Belgium gun.
