Everybody that I know (including myself) who rests the muzzle of his shotgun on his toe ALWAYS does so with an open gun. You've gotta be drunk or stupid to blow off your own toes in this manner.... or both!

:cheers:Good advise.

A nationally-ranked skeet shooter who runs a high end gun shop here in Mich is reported to have lost a toe doing that

Harryreed 03-05-2014 08:22 PM

I know of a very accomplished shooter here in GA that did the same thing. Notice the breach is not open in the photo. That is why bells went off with me when I saw the photo. Don't do it.:nono:

Both of these guns came out of legomutton cases ( in pieces) and were assembled by me for this photo opp. No ammo was present. Know you can never be too careful, sorry if I offended.

Daryl Corona 03-05-2014 09:24 PM

No offence taken Scott. Good luck to the newlyweds.

Dean Romig 03-05-2014 09:31 PM

Hey Scott - not to worry, I don't think anybody's offended. It's easy to see what your picture's about. He's a lucky guy to find a bride with those qualifications - and she's pretty lucky to find a guy like your son!!

Harryreed 03-05-2014 09:32 PM
