After looking at 3 different guns I think ill go with the l1 parkers if it still for sale after I get my ec green. I really like the shape of the pistol grip on the top lever hammer guns ive noticed its not like the grip shape of the lifters . its in good shape and a very good looking double

any parker is a good choice... but i love all old 10 ga s be it a beligum clunker or a prized parker...charlie

Haven't seen "reasonable" Colt hammers for awhile and then, as Larry said, two neat ones at the Vegas Show and a nice hammerless 10 ga. For those interested, Walter Kellog, sorry didn't get a card, who was a big Colt Lightening collector and is now retiring from the hobby, has a nice, lettered, factory engraved 12 ga hammer Colt for sale at typical DH cost. Larry Shelton, of Clabrough fame - he just finished a book on them - also has an engraved Colt hammer gun but one barrel looked out of round at the muzzle, at least to
me, which might be why it was priced considerably lower than what Walter was looking for.

I know 2 years ago it wasn't hard finding a 10 ga colt now you barely see them . Charlie im the same way about my sxs 10 gauges . Im falling in love with this grade 1 parkers though im looking at . May double up on payments on my ec green so I can go ahead and get a parkers. Charlie you have to see the Damascus pattern on the ec green barrels !

Have a friend with a extensive SXS collection. He's not a single maker collector goes for variety and quality. His opinion Colt is the pinnacle of American guns. Not sure I agree but do see his point based on lines fit and finish.

Mills Would you still hold out for a 8ga parker if you had a chance to aquire the Grover Cleveland 8ga. As a side note I can see charlies mouth watering over that gun.

Colt made one 8 gauge and that is it. I think the guns that are too expensive for anyone to afford are in museums now. Like the Invincibles
