John,
Offhand I don't. Last year the Riviera looked like it was on its last leg with very few services. The buffet and coffee shop were closed and it was just not a good hotel experience even though the gun show was great as always.

I was in Vegas in September and went down to the Riv to see if the lights were still on and I was pleasantly surprised. They had revamped the casino and were adding some additional seating space in the existing hotel eateries which are brewpub and a oriental place I think. The backend of the property where the show is just has some basic food service in a few places and not a lot of seating. I think it will just depend on what is available and how many people you have.

I completely agree with your assessment of the Riviera Hotel being a bit of a dump Patrick. I cautioned Chuck about staying elsewhere and that the food service in the immediate vicinity of the Show was poor last year. Good to hear they're making some improvements.

If it is OK with everyone I think meeting up with Drew at the Lever booth is probably easiest and we can scout out a nearby spot to head to for a pint once everyone arrives.

Personally I'm looking forward to buying an Elsie calendar off Drew at the Lefever booth with a bunch of Parker guys! :)

John: the calendars are free to anyone who knows Jent's secret LCSCA handshake :)

I'll be manning the A.H. Fox Collectors Association table in the Sporting Arms side of the show.

Look forward to meeting you Dave!

Heading out in the morning and should be setting up by mid-afternoon if I can find the Lefever tables. I will be bringing my bore gauge and Bill Henry wall thickness gauge. Measuring, done right, is work and takes a while, but I'll measure CLEAN barrels as I am able Friday and Sat.
Looking forward to meeting many here!

Josh Loewensteiner will be manning the J.D. Julia booths. I caught a cold last week and I dread the airplane flight but I'll be there!

Anyone else?

Chuck

We got in tonight and headed to SHOT Show tomorrow so hopefully make it over in the afternoon.

Paul Stafford 01-16-2014 09:42 PM

So far the Shot Show is great, I can't wait to hit the antique arms show on friday. Always one of the best in the country.
