I am not sure if I am seeing things but in the eight photo (parfker barrel bottom barrel) you can actually see the wraps in the barrel. Can anybody else or is it just something the camera is doing.

Wayne, that is not unusual at all, especially in barrels that have not been refinished.

How was the blank area created where the Parker and barrel types are placed

The rib matting machine cutter was lifted. Each wavy groove of the matting was cut independently and this allowed for very precise operation such as exactly where each line was to begin and end - hence, the space at the muzzle end of the rib and the space for the "Parker Bros. Makers..." logo.
