Yes , 0 frame ,1903. I pulled the extractor out to see if the gauge was stamped on the back but no dice.. nice fit up job though...

John, Did we figure out how early of a gun this is. My bet is that its real early or those barrels were originally from a twenty or sixteen gauge. That explains alot if you know what I mean.

There were a fair number of earlier 28's but well spaced between. Could PB have been this low on the supply of 28 ga. extractors that they had to fabricate one? Doesn't seem probable... hmmm...
