Pete, My experience has been the spreaders open the patterns 1+ choke size. IE: From Improved mod to improved cylinder. One thing I have learned is the the speed of the load is critical. If you overspeed the load it will blow the pattern and too light a load and the pattern will not open as much as you would expect.

I was hoping to hear differences in % for the same gun and load. The X-Stream inserts opened my 10ga Remmy up by 35% or 3 1/2 "degrees" of choke to a very useful for some situations 58%. I was wonder if the Poly-Wad would do more or less opening of the pattern, if only one choke from IM it sounds like less compared to the X-Stream.
