Note to all: do not confuse Charlestown near the shoot, with Charleston the state capitol--they are 4hrs apart.
I am thinking about going just to see how these shoots are run and if I would feel comfortable shooting. I am not a competitive shooter, but can break 70-75 on the local courses with my Fair Rizzini 16 ou (double triggers of course), and slightly less with a sxs. The only appropriate 12 ga I have is a Pin gun Sterlingworth. I have only pulled the trigger on that gun one time and it resulted in a nice cock grouse- so I am 100% with that gun. So, if I get to go, I would be happy to help out in any way possible. It is only about a 3 hr drive for me. |
Harold;
Please do consider coming. None of us are competitive shooters but we know how to have a good time. Nobody cares about our scores but at at least you'll get to spend some quality time with Mr. Anderson.:shock: |
There is a rumor going around that Mr. Anderson is sponsoring a side event called the Great Motel Hallway Chair Race. Word is he's taking on all comers who want to claim his title:rotf: There might be a Calcutta involved. I'll buy COB.:bowdown:
Any truth to this rumor Mr. Anderson??? |
Harold - put that little pin gun away and never shoot it again! You'll always be able to take her out and note that "you've never missed a bird with her"..........and not cause Ansley to roll over in his grave!

Harold it's so close there would be no reason not to come. As Daryl said we arn't competitive shoots just out for a good time. There will be lots of guns to drool over and you will be able to meet some of the people you talk to hear.
Chuck there will be qualifying races at the Southern. Please send your entry fee $5 to me to reserve your pit space:rotf: |
