Ok. So you are right at what I would consider modern. Just a bit longer than most. Which would make the drop at heel more like 2-3/8 or so if the LOP was shorter.
Ssbp's are tricky to fit. Just takes patience, as with most things. The last time I fit one from a flat backed blank, it took me about 4 hours straight to do it.
