Thanks Rich.
I will look at may barrels and see exactly what they say. |

They should read 1 of 99 :rotf: Wonder how many barrels say 1 of 100 :) |
With only 100 guns produced like this I would think it would make them pretty rare these days.

You could order repros with leather covered pads.Parker Repro outsourced them.I don't know who actually did the work.I think possibly LeFever may have done a few.We also did a few leather pads at Jaegers for customer guns. They were good enough that you could not tell they were not factory.

John.. The PR I once owned had beautiful light wood forearm and stock.
The LOP was 141/2 to end of wood and then the all pigskin covered pad of the same color as the stock. One could hardly tell where the wood ended and the pad stared. It gave me a 15" plus LOP that I needed for my long arms. It had the "P" serial number. I sold the gun in a weak moment! Now regretted. |
Bill,That could have been one of the Jaeger guns. They used a light tan colored pigskin and could take a standard LOP out to 15".That was the max without a spacer.

Richard Skeuse commented on the rubber butt option on Parker Repros in this thread:
http://parkerguns.org/forums/showthread.php?t=243 Granted, his comments did not mention leather covered, nor did he distinguish between a rubber recoil pad or a hard rubber DHBP. Perhaps he'll see this thread and clarify . . . Again . . . mo' questions and mo' mystique |
I want a Repro with a DHBP something terrible but, not enough to hack one up to get it..
