Worst sunburn I ever got was in Alaska. It was in the last week of June.

Looks like you had a great day. I like seeing the old school red & white Mepps spinner still gets the job done.

I did it for two weeks in '92. A dream trip for me... total sensory overload.

I've recently been able to acquire my Dream Rod; first time out...
https://i.imgur.com/w7pK1N5l.jpg and yeah, I know it's a trout rod, but some of us have to take what we can get when we can get it! https://i.imgur.com/A75xtNQl.jpg |
That makes for good memories for me...I LOVE catching panfish on the fly. Practically fed myself in college catching Guadalupe Bass, red ear sunfish, bluegills and shellcrackers from the Guadalupe, San Marcos and Blanco rivers on top water poppers and terrestrials, particularly red ant and cricket patterns.

Very nice!
It's hard to beat a Winston in the realm of contemporary cane rods. . |
My favorite thing about Arctic Grayling is the thin band of pure Klondike gold along the top edge of the dorsal fin.

What a beautiful combination....
a Winston cane rod and a Hardy reel if I am not mistaken. I am a traditional fly fisherman myself and a cane rod nut indeed...Best of luck with your new outfit and many happy days astream....Paul in OR
